eSports Immersion is a patented technology that allows spectators to be ‘immersed’ in a live multiplayer video gaming competition (an eSports event), while also providing gaming related data that can be used by betting sites, game producers, talent scouts, eSports teams and leagues for evaluating spectator-participant performance. Sales and marketing teams in the eSports industry can also advantageously use this data to, for example, develop and market new games.
An eSports Immersion enabled system allows an eSports spectator to do more than simply observe an online or live contest with limited spectator engagement (e.g., typically limited to group messaging with other spectators and possibly the game stars/participants during an event).
